Best Books on Southeast Asia:แนะนำหนังสือน่าอ่านเกี่ยวกับเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

บล็อกอาเซียนคอร์เนอร์จะแนะนำหนังสือน่าอ่าน ด้านประวัติศาสตร์ การเมือง สังคม เศรษฐกิจ การท่องเที่ยว และบุคคลที่มีชื่อเสียง ของประเทศต่างๆ ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เป็นประจำทุกเดือน เริ่มตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคมเป็นต้นไป

เกร็ดความรู้เกี่ยวกับด้านการศึกษาของประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน


- สิงคโปร์มีคุณภาพการศึกษาเป็นเลิศ เป็นอันดับที่ 1 ในภูมิภาคอาเซียน และอันดับที่ 3 ของโลก จากการจัดอันดับโดย World Economic Forum

- Singapore has been ranked 1st place among the ten ASEAN countries for its education system in the recently released Global Competitiveness Report 2013-2014 by the World Economic Forum.

- วิชาลูกเสือเป็นวิชาบังคับสำหรับนักเรียนในประเทศอินโดนีเซียและไทย

- Boy scout is still a mandatory subject for students in Indonesia and Thailand.

- โรงเรียนในบรูไน ปิดเรียนวันศุกร์ ซึ่งเป็นวันละหมาดใหญ่ และวันอาทิตย์ ส่วนวันเสาร์เปิดเรียนตามปกติ

- Schools are closed on Fridays and Sundays, with Saturday being a working day in Brunei.

- President Benigno Aquino singed the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2012 or the K to 12 Basic Education Programme. It covers kindergarten and 12 years of basic education ( six years of primary education, four years of junior high school and two years of senior high school).

- เวียดนามอยู่ในจำนวน 20 ประเทศแรกของโลกที่มีผลการประเมิน PISA อยู่ในอันดับสูง ปี 2012 (อันดับที่ 17)

- Vietnam ranked 17th place out of 64 in the latest PISA test scores 2012.

Education in Vietnam:การจัดการศึกษาของประเทศเวียดนาม

Education in Vietnam


The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) responsible for the governance of General / academic education and higher education (training) in Vietnam.

กระทรวงศึกษาธิการและการฝึกอบรม หรือ MOET มีหน้าที่หลักในการรับผิดชอบสำหรับการวางแผนและกำกับดูแลระบบการศึกษาและการฝึกอบรมต่างๆ ของเวียดนาม

Education System
Education in Vietnam is divided into five levels: preschool, primary school, secondary school, high school and higher education. Formal education consists of twelve years of basic education. Basic education consists of five years of primary education, four years of intermediate education, and three years of secondary education. 

Pre-School Education
     Public kindergartens usually admit children ranging from 18 months to 5 years of age.

Primary Education
     Children normally start primary education at the age of six. Education at this level lasts for 5 years and is compulsory for all children.

Intermediate / Lower Secondary Education
      Lower secondary school includes sixth, seventh and ninth grades.

High School Education
      High school education consists of grades ten through twelve.

Higher Education
      University entrance is based on the scores achieved in the entrance examination. High school graduates need high scores to be admitted to universities.

ปัจจุบันเวียดนามแบ่งลักษณะของการจัดการศึกษาไว้ 5 ระดับคือ 
1. การศึกษาก่อนระดับประถมศึกษา 
    ประกอบด้วยการเลี้ยงดูเด็ก สำหรับเด็กอายุ 18 เดือนถึง 3 ปี และอนุบาลสำหรับเด็กอายุ 3 ถึง 5 ปี
2. การศึกษาสามัญ (5-4-3) 
    - ระดับประถมศึกษา เป็นการศึกษาภาคบังคับ 5 ปี ชั้น 1-5
    - ระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น คือชั้น 6-9 
    - ระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย คือชั้น 10-12
3. การศึกษาด้านเทคนิคและอาชีพ
4. การศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษา
5. การศึกษาต่อเนื่อง


School Year
The school year is divided into two semesters.The first semester begins in late August and ends sometimes before Tet, while the second one begins right after the first one and lasts until June.

Education in Thailand:การจัดการศึกษาของประเทศไทย

Education in Thailand

Education in Thailand is provided mainly by the Thai government through the Ministry of Education from pre-school to senior high school. A free basic of twelve years is guaranteed by the constitution, and a minimum of nine years' school attendance is mandatory.

School system

The school structure is divided into 4 key stages: Primary 1-3; Primary 4-6; Secondary 1-3 and Secondary 4-6.

School year

The school year is divided into two semesters. The first begins in the beginning of May and ends in October; the second  begins in November and ends in March.

Education in Singapore:การจัดการศึกษาของประเทศสิงคโปร์

Education in Singapore


Education in Singapore is managed by the Ministry of Education (MOE) which controls both state and private schools.


School Year
The school year is divided into two semesters. The first begins in the beginning of January and ends in May; the second begins in July and ends in November.


The Education System
Kindergartens

Kindergartens in Singapore provide up three years of pre-school for children ages three to six. The kindergartens are run by the private sector, including community foundations, religious bodies and civic or business groups.

Primary Education

Primary education, normally starting at age seven, is a four-year foundation stage (Primary 1 to 4) and a two-year orientation stage (Primary 5 to 6). Primary education is compulsory under the Compulsory Act since 2003.

After six years of Primary education, students will have to sit for the national Primary School Learning Examination (PSLE). Students will then choose the secondary school of their choice based on their results at this examination.

Secondary Education

Secondary Education places students in the Special, Express, Normal (Academic) or Normal (Technical) course according to how they perform at the PSLE. Most secondary schools in Singapore offer 4-year or 5-year courses.

Education in the Philippines:การจัดการศึกษาของประเทศฟิลิปปินส์


The Philippines' Department of Education (or Dep Ed) administers the entire educational system. (Learn more..) 

The former educational system of the Philippines was composed of 6 years of elementary education starting at the age of 6, and  4 years of high school education starting at the age of 12. With this system , compulsory education is not enforced.

ระบบการศึกษาแบบเก่าของประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ แบ่งเป็น 4 ระดับ ดังนี้

- ระดับอนุบาล  1-3 ปี เป็นการพัฒนาเด็กให้มีความพร้อมก่อนเข้าเรียนในระดับประถมศึกษา

- ระดับประถมศึกษา 6-7 ปี เป็นการศึกษาภาคบังคับ เป็นช่วงที่มีการพัฒนาทางด้านทักษะทางวิชาการ เพื่อเตรียมพร้อมสำหรับการเรียนในระดับมัธยมศึกษา

- ระดับมัธยมศึกษา 4 ปี เป็นขั้นเตรียมนักเรียนเพื่อการศึกษาต่อในมหาวิทยาลัย

- ระดับอุดมศึกษา

The Philippines is undergoing a major overhaul to bring it in line with education systems worldwide. President Benigno Aquino of the Philippines signed into law a basic education curriculum that will see a mandatory kindergarten year and two additional senior high school years.

นโยบายเปลี่ยนแปลงระบบการศึกษาทั้งหมดซึ่งลงนามโดยประธานาธิบดีเบนิกโน อาคีโน เมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคมปี 2556 และมีผลบังคับใช้ตั้งแต่เดือนมิถุนายน เป็นต้นมา นั้นจะเป็นระบบ K-12 โดยมีการขยายเวลาการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานจาก 10 ปี ในระบบเก่า มาเป็น 12 ปี โดยเรียนในชั้นอนุบาล 1 ปี ประถมศึกษา 6 ปี มัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น 4 ปี และ เพิ่มมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย 2 ปี

Education in Myanmar:การจัดการศึกษาของประเทศเมียนมาร์


ระบบการศึกษาของประเทศสาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมาร์ มีกระทรวงศึกษาธิการเป็นผู้รับผิดชอบในการบริหารการศึกษาของประเทศ โดยใช้ระบบการศึกษา 5:4:2 ดังนี้

- ประถมศึกษา 5 ปี (อนุบาล 1 ปี และประถมศึกษา 4 ปี)
- มัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น 4 ปี
- มัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย 2 ปี
- อาชีวะศึกษา 1-3 ปี
- อุดมศึกษา 4-6 ปี

The educational system of Myanmar is operated by the government Ministry of Education.

- Kindergarten starts from the age of 5.

- Primary education is officially compulsory. It lasts five years (standards 1-4), and to continue onto secondary school. Students must pass a comprehensive examination of basic subjects.

- Secondary education is divided into middle schools (standards 6-8) and high schools (standards 9-10).
