Indonesia, officially the Republic of Indonesia, is a country in Southeast Asia and Oceania. Indonesia is an archipelago comprising approximately 17,508 islands. The country shares land borders with Papua New Guinea, East Timor, and Malaysia. Other neighbouring countries include Singapore, Philippines, Australia and the Indian territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

What is the capital of Indonesia?
Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia and the largest city in the country. It is located on the north-west coast of Java. As estimated in 2011, the city had a total population of 9,580,000. The capital city serves as the economic, cultural and political centre of the country.
