Education in Thailand
Education in Thailand is provided mainly by the Thai government through the Ministry of Education from pre-school to senior high school. A free basic of twelve years is guaranteed by the constitution, and a minimum of nine years' school attendance is mandatory.
School system
The school structure is divided into 4 key stages: Primary 1-3; Primary 4-6; Secondary 1-3 and Secondary 4-6.
School year
The school year is divided into two semesters. The first begins in the beginning of May and ends in October; the second begins in November and ends in March.
