Education in Malaysia:การจัดการศึกษาของประเทศมาเลเซีย

Education System of Malaysia
Education in Malaysia is overseen by two government ministries. Pre-tertiary education (pre-school to secondary education) is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education (MOE) while tertiary or higher education is the responsibility of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
Level of Education
  • Pre-primary Education : It is not compulsory.
  • Primary Education : 6 years ( It is mandatory for all children between the ages of 7 and 12.)
  • Lower Secondary Education : 3 years
  • Upper Secondary Education : 2 years
  • Post-secondary Education : 1 to 2 years (The university entrance preparatory course.)
  • Tertiary Education : 3 years
The School Year
The school year in public schools in Malaysia is divided into two semesters.
  • The first term usually starts in early January and finishes at the end of May.
  • The second term usually starts in mid-June and ends mid-November.
The School Week
  • The school week lasts 5 days, from Monday to Friday.

The School Hours and Holidays
  • Most government schools run on a two-session system: morning session (7.30 pm - 1 pm) and afternoon session (1 pm - 6.30 pm).
