Where is Malaysia?

Malaysia is a country of Southeast Asia. It consists of thirteen states and three federal territories. The country is composed of two regions separated by the South China Sea: Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia. 

Peninsular Malaysia, also called West Malaysia, is the part of the country that  lies on the Malay Peninsular. It shares a land border with Thailand in the north. To the south is the island of Singapore. Across the Strait of Malacca to the west lies the island of Sumatra.

East Malaysia, also known as Sabah and Sarawak or Malaysian Borneo, is the part of Malaysia located on the island of Borneo. It consists of the Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak, and the Federal Territories of Labuan. The two are separated by the South China Sea.


ประเทศมาเลเซีย (อังกฤษ: Malaysia) เป็นประเทศในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ แบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน โดยมีทะเลจีนใต้กั้น ส่วนแรกคือ คาบสมุทรมลายู มีพรมแดนทิศเหนือติดประเทศไทย และทิศใต้ติดกับสิงคโปร์ ส่วนที่สองคือ ทางเหนือของเกาะบอร์เนียว มีพรมแดนทิศใต้ติดอินโดนีเซีย และมีพรมแดนล้อมรอบประเทศบรูไน มาเลเซียเป็นสมาชิกก่อตั้งของกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียน

What is the capital of Malaysia? 
Kuala Lumpur is the capital and most populous city in Malaysia. The city is the cultural, financial and economic centre of Malaysia due to its position as the capital as well as being a key city.
